Pering Laboratory (Perceptual Intelligence Laboratory) is an active research group from University of Bath. We aim to build intelligent robots that properly explore and understand our surroundings. For this purpose, we focus on the development of fully autonomous systems, and investigate a better way for them to understand the environment. The related research will span several popular fields including Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM), Robot Cognition, Machine/Robot Learning and Computer Vision/Graphics.

NOTE that we have a PhD opening (2024 or early 2025 entry) for cyber security in autonomous driving. This position will be funded by an industrial partner, and the student will be co-supervised with a colleague from Cardiff University. Please get in touch if you would be interested.
